Online Dating Etiquette

In the cyber world, we often mistake people for emails or instant messages. You can choose to delete them, respond to them or ignore them. They, in turn, can Spam you with a vengeance, turn abusive, ignore you, delete you, forget you, wait and wonder what happened, inquire politely or move on.

If you are like me, you like to be on the right side of cyber etiquette. You want to acknowledge the effort taken by someone else to get in touch, even if you're not really interested. You know the limitations of email and realize that your messages can be misunderstood - that someone might be offended by a casual remark such as "So, you must be really dumb if you look THAT beautiful" (when you're only trying to be funny!)
